My goal is to educate my clients with the knowledge to ‘fish for a lifetime’,
And empower them with the habits of mind to ensure they always apply it.
These days trying to sift through the seemingly endless contradictory claims about what you should be eating can leave you feeling despondent and confused.
I have had great successes coaching people on nutrition over the years, but I’ve also had a lot of failures too. I have been guilty of holding certain dietary beliefs that later were proven by well-designed studies to be false, and made the all-too common mistake that trainers make of mistaking correlation for causation and attributing successful weight loss to a particular magical macronutrient ratio when it fact the client in question was simply eating less calories.
Education and Mindful eating is the name of the game. Knowing what to eat and having the most amazing program in the world isn’t going to work if you follow it mindlessly. 16 years of meditating and several weight blow-outs of my own during stressful and super busy periods in my life followed by several successful transformations has given me personal insight into the psychology and relationship of stress and mindless and emotional eating, and the most effective strategies for beating it.
My ten years of successes, failures, research and learning owes particular gratitude to the amazing work of John Berardi PhD., whose company Precision Nutrition has helped 20,000 people successfully transform their bodies and taught me how to be a world class nutrition coach.
